Hey, Friday, my old friend. It’s been awhile.
Some weeks feel like a much, much longer while, y’all.
Mama’s tired.
But I’m never too tired to shop, because, well, mama also loves retail therapy. This week I’m focusing on spring and summer essentials for my sweet girl.
Let’s shop, shall we?
Obviously Target always comes in for the win. She attends year-round preschool, so we always need basic t-shirts. ALWAYS. I love that these little peplum tees are a little bit girly and fancy.
And EXTRA. They’re extra.
Just like we like ‘em.
Also Target, because who am I if not consistent and also a Target fan – these shorts are an absolute staple for us. They’re long enough that my leggy little gal doesn’t look indecent, and super soft and comfy.
We’re 4 years into a princess phase that I don’t think will end anytime soon, tbh, so dresses of all kinds are where it’s at for EV.
Lots of swing dresses and sun dresses for play, but I like to stock up on church dresses, too:
because she treats Sundays like her own personal style show.
It’s cool. She’s got a dedicated fan in me. 😉
Princess she may be, but modest she is not. We live by biker shorts, y’all. Under every dress, every time, and they work just as well with a peplum top as they do for emergency coverage.
I’m old enough to remember when biker shorts weren’t cool, y’all, but I’m here to say that I’ve overcome deep rooted prejudices against them.
Honestly, this rounds out our major purchases for the season. Knowing my kid’s legs will grow exponentially over the next few months, I’m trying to step back from the massive overkill that is every other shopping trip I’ve ever done for her and simplify her wardrobe.
Trying is the key word here. Y’all pray for me.
Have a great weekend!
