Fashion Friday (12/17/21)

Hey, y’all!

Has anyone else’s house reached fever pitch holiday spirit?

I may or may not be leaving Christmas music playing even when I’m gone so that the house will be cheerful as soon as I walk in the door.

I’m going to be taking the next couple of weeks to bask in family time and holiday glow, so I’ll be less present around the blog.

But I’m gonna be oh-so-fashionable while I bask, y’all.

Ok, that’s probably not true. In reality, I’ll probably be in joggers and oversized t-shirts 90% of the time.

But I felt all hype for a brief moment there, so just let me roll with it, ok?

In homage to my holiday break fashion, today’s post is about comfy mom wear.

Cue the joggers.

This is the look I think of when I think ‘loungewear’. It’s comfy, it’s soft, it’s loose and covers everything while touching nothing.

This is pretty much what I look like shuffling from the couch to the kitchen to reheat my decaf coffee during commercial breaks on the Hallmark channel, except I won’t be in shoes, just fuzzy socks.

This is 100% what my outside-of-the-house loungewear looks like. My denim jacket puts in serious overtime hours during the winter, because in south Texas, layers are an absolute must.

I love the classic olive paired with black and a great fitting jacket. I’d rock this look with a leather jacket, too – it’s simple, comfy, roomy, and still reasonably fashionable look.

Me and my holiday belly are here for it.

This look totally passes for vacation day wear in my book, too. Not quite as polished as when you throw on a structured jacket, of course.

Nevertheless, I am here for the mom tee and jogger vibe.

Also for the $.50 words, nevertheless.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, that you get to experience love, joy, and peace as you celebrate the season, and that you revel in comfy vibes this coming week.

Happy Friday!
