Y’all.
I have eaten my weight in candied pecans this week. I’m currently wearing the comfiest pair of fat pants I own and throwing a full-on side eye at my real clothes, but I know reckoning is coming.
Not yet, though.
I’m not back to work yet, and we still have one more big holiday to celebrate, so it’s not OFFICIAL official. I like to call my holiday approach ‘fully engaged’, which is a nice way to say ‘I’m about to Whole30 my way through January so I’m finishing the holiday leftovers off now’.
There’s a time for everything in moderation. It’s called balance…is what I whisper to myself as I snag another slice of cheese.
In all seriousness, I do fully enjoy this season, non-Paleo style, but I am excited about leaping into a new year. Not only because my body feels better when I’m in the rhythm of a meaningful routine, but because I get to dig into the challenges of shaping a new year. It’s a gift, and I don’t take it lightly!
So I’m elbow deep in planners and lists at the moment, which is like my favorite thing ever. I’m working on about a billion things that I can’t wait to talk about around here, so I hope you’ll make the ol’ blog a stopping point in your new year!
And with that, I’m back to my notepad. 🙂 I hope that wherever you are, you’re looking forward to the new year with hope and joy. I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year!
